Graveside services for Etta S. Edwards, age 94, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Salem Cemetery in Wood County with Rev. C. J. Duffy officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 29, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Edwards passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Edwards was born on December 13, 1919 in Franklin County, the daughter of P. A. and Lena Caroline (Jacobs) Scroggins. She married L. T. Edwards on December 7, 1940 in Franklin County. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by daughters, Mary Underwood and husband Floyd of Sulphur Springs, Murnice Smith and husband Ray of White Oak and Martha Edwards of Mesquite, one son, Leon Edwards and Brenda of Pine Forest, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, George Edwards and Eugene Edwards, brothers, Sam Scroggins and Lonnie Scroggins, sisters, Mattie Turner, Ellafair Davis, Biggen Winkle, Phebe Johnson and Pat Tosh.
