Three SSHS FFA Students Place in Friday’s Sheep and Goat Competition at the State Fair

Three SSHS FFA students placed their animals in Friday’s sheep and goat competition at the State Fair of Texas according to Vo-Ag teacher Amber Norris. Amid at least 60 competitors, Darby Williams placed her goat in third place. It was Darby’s first time to show according to Norris. Taking second in the lamb division were Taylor and Tanner Swinson. Muscle mass is a major criteria for the sheep and goat competition. Other events for local students’ projects will take place during the next two weeks at the State Fair of Texas.
