The Lady Cats’ volleyball team had a surprise home match Tuesday night but they still struggled against district competition losing to a strong Pine Tree team 3-0 in Wildcats Gym. Scores were 25-18, 25-10 and 25-16. The Lady Cats fall to 1-5 in district play and 13-15 overall. The Lady Cats are at Mt. Pleasant Friday.
The young Lady Cats’ volleyball team is going through growing pains. Coach Allison Irvin says she has confidence in them and sees a bright future with them. Included are three freshmen and two sophomores. Jessye Castro and Desi Debase are the only seniors. The young Lady Cats lost to a veteran Pine Tree team 3-0 Tuesday night. Coach Irvin is looking for victories over the next three games starting at Mt. Pleasant Friday
