“Updated Photos” Fast Moving Storm Blew Through Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County
A fast moving storm blew through Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County beginning at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Winds were measured from 45 to 60 miles per hour. The storm triggered city alarm sirens briefly. Some businesses suffered damages. Tree limbs and debris were reported on roadways. There were power outages and many reports of arcing power lines. After an hour, the storm had moved on east.
