Wildcats Even Record, Whitehouse Up Next

The Wildcats’ football team evened their season record at 1-1 with a dominating 41-0 victory over outmanned Sherman at Gerald Prim Stadium Friday night. Quarterback Larry Pryor opened the scoring with a 54-yard TD pass to receiver C.J. Stephens. In the third quarter they teamed up again for a 66-yard scoring strike. Pryor also ran for 2 touchdowns and back Tyler Rosamond ran for one. Tanner Ramirez added two field goals. The Wildcats defense bottled up Sherman. The Wildcats travel to Whitehouse next Friday.

Wildcats Defensive Line Coach Chris Owens challenged the defense in an unusual way last week. He said if the defense shut out Sherman, they could shave his head. Chris is expected to be sporting a new look this week. Wildcats Head Football Coach Greg Owens said it is hard to shut a team out at any level. He said he was proud of the defense. Meanwhile the offense racked up 478 yards, 196 yards rushing and 282 yards passing.
