There is a good possibility that this year’s Stew Contest on October 25 will be a record setter for number of stew pots. There are about 144 currently. According to KSST accounts, that matches the previous high set in 2012. Hopkins County Chamber President Meredith Caddell expects several more to sign up before the October 14 deadline, the date for the Cooks’ Meeting.
