Arrest Made In Connection To Tobacco Shop Burglary

Five thieves broke into a Sulphur Springs tobacco shop in the 1000 block of Gilmer around 3 a.m. Sunday.  A citizen heard glass breaking and notified police.  Lawmen pursued a vehicle west on I-30 until spike strips disabled it near Cumby.  One man was arrested in a manhunt but another eluded capture.  Police believe he stole a car in Cumby that was later recovered in Dallas.  Three other suspects also fled the burglary scene.  35-year old Tyrone McFarland of Dallas has been charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and evading arrest.  His bond was set at $20,000 total.
