Wildcats Football Offense And Defense Updates

Wildcats Football Offensive Coordinator Matt Young says the Wildcats offense is coming along but still has some strides to make. He is impressed with the Rockwall Heath defense the Wildcats will face Friday night. Coach Young says the strength of the Red Hawks’ defense is their secondary led by a UT commit. He looks forward to Wildcats receivers working against that talented secondary and the Wildcats offensive line taking on the big Red Hawks front.

Wildcats Football Defensive Coordinator Triston Abron felt his defense did a good job during their first scrimmage. As for the second scrimmage last Friday, Coach Abron said the defense did not play well at all during the running clock portion. He said they have to do a better job against talented Rockwall Heath. The Red Hawks have a Texas A&M commit at a tackle slot. Their quarterback returns and Coach Abron saw several backfield threats during a scrimmage. He’s hoping the defense wins third down and forces turnovers.
