Coach Owens on the Game vs The Hawks

Wildcats Football Coach Greg Owens notes that Rockwall-Heath is #8 in the state in class 5A in one poll for a reason. He says they are really good. They have an offensive tackle headed for Texas A&M and a safety going to Texas. On offense Coach Owens says the Hawks play smash mouth power football and they like to run the ball. Their offensive line and defensive secondary are strengths. He adds they ought to help the Wildcats get ready to play Longview and Texas High in district play.

Wildcats Football Coach Greg Owens feels his team has the chance to be pretty good this year but he quickly adds they are not there yet. The Wildcats have small numbers. Only 32 may suit up Friday. They are not deep and the injury bug has to stay away. More than ever before, Wildcats will be playing on both sides of the ball. On the other hand, the Wildcats have 25 seniors. Five seniors will start on the offensive line.
