Sulphur Springs Fire Department Captain David James gave updates on three fires the department fought over the weekend. A man who received serious burns to his lower legs and a hand in a Rockdale Road fire is said to be doing better in the Parkland Burns Unit. James said the fire appeared to be accidental. He called a fire at a vacant house in the 900 block of College suspicious. James said an accidental kitchen fire also damaged one unit of an apartment complex.
