Here are some highlights from Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell’s Manager’s Report to the City Council Tuesday. Cooper Lake is 7-feet low but that’s better than last month’s 11-feet low reading. Work is underway on Davis between Connally and Atkins. The Davis and Connally intersection and Mulberry Street are completed. Rogers Street work will begin after Davis Street is done. The wastewater treatment plant continues to struggle. It exceeded two parameters last month and Maxwell indicates improvements are needed to keep up with industrial discharge.
