High School Graduation

sshs.header.roundA total of 222 diplomas were distributed during Commencement Exercises for the Sulphur Springs High School Class of 2014 Friday night at Gerald Prim Stadium. One diploma was awarded posthumously. Alex Burney delivered the Salutatorian’s Welcome. He said the senior class was fortunate to grow up in a caring environment in Sulphur Springs. Burney thanked his teachers, coaches, friends and family. He then took a selfie with the Prim Stadium crowd in the background. Valedictorian Mariela Bravo said she would remember things from school for the rest of her life. She closed by telling her classmates that they were all successful tonight adding tonight we are all champions. Kennedy Potts accompanied by Jenni Johnson on guitar sang the class song, “See You When I See You”.
