Funeral services for Bobby Joe “B. J.” Reece, age 74, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Harold Nash officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Bobby Joe passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler.
Bobby Joe was born on March 7, 1941 in Ft. Worth, TX, the son of Clemon Gales and Cladie Reece. He married Bobbie Kelly on August 7, 2004 and she survives. He was a bus driver for the City of Phoenix and a bus mechanic for Sacramento’s Regional Transit for over 20 years.
In addition to his wife Bobbie, he is survived by his sister, Thelma Jackson, sons, Bobby Reece, Jr. (Tammy), Brian Reece (Dorothiea), Kenneth Reece (Lisa), and Chris Mitchell, Darnell Kelly, Michael Kelly (Brenda), and Torio Kelly (LaRisa) and his daughters, Carolyn Reece, Toni Belveal (Charles) and Chanter Reece, 13 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
