Veterans Day on the Square

Many community groups are coming together to present a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial on Celebration Plaza at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Special guest speaker will be Retired Major General Charles L. Wilson of Commerce. Lots of students will attend along with the Sulphur Springs High School Jazz Band and Choir. The U.S. flag will be lowered at the start of the program and then raised at the end.

Tt noon, Sulphur Springs High School will honor veterans and their spouses with a reception in the library to be followed by a special program at 1 p.m. in the Main Gym. In the evening, Wal-Mart will host a dinner for veterans at 6 p.m. at League Street Church of Christ
