Funeral Services for Scotty Wayne Smith, age 53 of Sulphur Springs, will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky with Rev. Tommy Hall and Rev. Andy Comer officiating. Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Taylor Town, TX with William McFarland, Jerrold Gooding, Wayne Gooding, II, Marty McFarland, Stevie McFarland, Jimmy McFarland and Roger Jones serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his residence. He was born on July 13, 1961 in Ft. Worth, TX the son of Clyde Jones and Birdie McFarland Smith.
Survivors include: mother, Birdie Smith; brother, Danny Lynn Smith and wife, Linda of Sulphur Springs; sister, Ann Tanton and husband, Tony of Sulphur Springs and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, Vernon Smith and infant brother, Malcolm Paul Jones.
