The Lady Cats Cross Country Team won their first ever district championship and is headed to the Regional Meet after the 15-5A District Championship Meet in Mount Pleasant Monday. Both the Wildcats and Lady Cats Cross Country Teams had to run shorthanded at a Eustace meet last Thursday. The Lady Cats got 4th place while the Wildcats placed 7th. One team has been very hard for the Lady Cats Cross Country Team to beat this season and again Saturday Lufkin was the only team to outperform the Lady Cats at a meet at LeTourneau University in Longview. The Lady Cats Cross Country Team finished 3rd and the Wildcats were around 12th or 13th at the teams’ first meet of the season at the XC Invitational in Hallsville Friday.
