Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating vandalism at a local cemetery. Flag Burned, Monuments Overturned in Vandalism at Weaver Cemetery
Approximately 65 monuments were overturned and the U. S. Flag burned at the Veterans’ Memorial at Weaver Cemetery, according to Hopkins County Deputies. The damage was found Monday. Hopkins County Sheriff’s Investigators are seeking the person or persons who overturned the headstones and burned the flag. One deputy stated that they should have an arrest sometime today.
