After being absent from the Sulphur Springs business scene for a few years the Potato House has reopened at 204 Connally. Sherry Cotten is the new owner manager. Her father John owned the original Potato House when it opened downtown on Connally and later was moved to a location on Gilmer. John is now retired. This Sunday Nov 21, 2021 3 families have come together to serve a free Thanksgiving meal for the elderly and the less fortunate. This will take place outside the Potato House @ 204 Connally St. We will have to go boxes ready for you to take home. Just drive up or walk up and someone will help you. Drop off Food and Hygiene Items for Veterans at Tun Tavern
Tom and Joey Bloomer, owners of Tun Tavern, are working with Fireside BBQ, Slaughters BBQ, Potato House, Cherished Events, and Operation V.E.T. to collect food and hygiene items for Veterans. On November 20th, 2021 there will be a donations drive with free hotdogs and bottled water at Slaughters BBQ Oasis. This month long drive will help the year long needs of our Veterans.
