Good morning friends! I went to see Phil Wickham in concert last night! My friend had bought the tickets and I never thought to even ask her where we were parking or sitting. So when we arrived we had front row parking and we had seats on the floor. I could see the singers without looking on the giant screens! As we walked to our seats, once you get to the bottom of the bleachers, there’s a security person there checking your tickets to make sure you were supposed to be down there. It was amazing to be in a room full of so many people singing their worship and praise to the Father, collectively as a body. I was standing there with tears streaming down my cheeks because the spirit of the Lord was so heavy. But it really hit my heart, that security guard was gate keeping the good seats. And that’s kind of how it will be when get to heaven. Our salvation, our tickets, will be checked at the gate. In life we can be so close to Christianity that we feel like we’ve got an in but without Jesus we don’t have our ticket. By the time we get to the gates, we won’t be able to run back and get your ticket.
And friends, like I don’t want you to miss it. I don’t want you to be comfortable just in proximity to Christ. There were people in the room last night, not moved by the spirit. Sat empty of the Lord. And friends, He’s not the good seats at a concert, He is the Way! Are you close enough you can feel the music but not surrendered, having not confessed with your mouth and believed in your heart that Jesus is Lord? Because He’s calling us to Himself. He’s wanting you to come. He’s drawing you to deeper level relationship. Not by His judgement but by His Love. And friends, you ARE so loved!! He wants you to LIVE LOVED! Come. Come to the good seats! We’re saving you a spot! Live loved friends!
Romans 10:9-13 NLT
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. [11] As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” [12] Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. [13] For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”
