Richard Samuel Clover, of Saltillo, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2026. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at West Oaks Funeral Home, 500 S. Hillcrest Drive.

Richard “Richie” Samuel Clover lived his life centered around the things that mattered most to him: his faith, his family, and a deep appreciation for hard work and the outdoors. He was a devoted Christian man, an exceptional husband, a loving father, a treasured son, a dependable brother, a loyal friend, a hardworking farmer, and a skilled outdoorsman.

Richie’s relationship with our Heavenly Father was an important foundation in his life. He approached his faith with discipline and purpose, striving to live with integrity and allow his beliefs to guide the way he worked, loved, and cared for others. His faith was more than words; it could be seen in the way he lived his everyday life and in his devotion to his family.

There was little Richie wouldn’t have done for his wife, Bailea. He loved her deeply and wholeheartedly, always going above and beyond for her. If it had been within his power to give her the entire world, he would have. He treasured the life they shared and the family they created together. He was her partner, her protector, and someone she could count on through every season of life. Their time together was far too short, but the love they shared will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Fatherhood was another role Richie poured himself into. He was caring and involved, but he also knew how to make life fun. Kimberly, Emma, Richie Sam, and Harper were blessed with the most amazing memories. Some of his favorite moments were spent playing games with his children, showing up to support them at their sporting events, or taking them hunting. An avid and skilled hunter himself, Richie was able to pass his knowledge and love of hunting down to his children, creating a tradition and memories they will carry with them.

Hard work came naturally to Richie. He loved farming, working the land, and doing things with his own hands. He took pride in a job well done and was willing to put in the long hours necessary to see it through. When he did have time away from work, he wanted to spend it enjoying the people and activities he loved most.

Whether he was hunting, laughing with his family, dancing with his daughters and wife in the kitchen or sitting on the sidelines watching his children compete, Richie made those moments count. He is forever kept alive in every beat of his loved one’s hearts.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Bailea Clover, and their four wonderful children, Kimberly DeAnne, Emma Jean, Richie Sam Jr., and Harper Nykole.

He is survived by his parents, Richard David and Heidi DeAnn Clover; his siblings, Sarah Jones and her husband, Bryan; Haylee McBride and her husband, Dakota; Michael Clover and his wife, Samantha; and many adored nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his cherished grandparents, Deanne Craker, his maternal grandmother; and Richard Collins and Peggy Maureen Clover, his paternal grandparents.

Preceded in death by Grandfathers Ted Littlefield and Papa Jack Craker.

Richie also leaves behind countless extended family members and friends who loved him dearly, each carrying memories of the man he was and the impact he had on their lives. He will be remembered by every soul he came in contact with.
