Local business BackLash Salon has stepped up as a signature collection site, encouraging community members to sign a petition demanding transparency and change before development proceeds.

Grassroots Effort at Local Salon

Located at 400 Gilmer St, Suite C, BackLash Salon is hosting a petition signing drive running from August 24th through September 3rd. Organized under the banner “Tell CyrusOne… NO DATA CENTER UNTIL CHANGE HAPPENS!”, the initiative urges community members to make their voices heard.

Petition Location & Hours

Supporters can sign the petition in person at BackLash Salon during the following hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

Community Concerns

The campaign centers around growing concerns over the environmental, infrastructure, and local impacts of large-scale data center facilities in Hopkins County. Organizer messaging emphasizes community solidarity with slogans like “Your Voice Matters!” and “Together we can make a difference!”

As the September 3rd deadline approaches, organizers hope the surge in petition signatures will force developers and local officials to address community demands before moving forward with the data center plans.
