Joyce “Bonnie” McClain

Graveside service for Joyce “Bonnie” McClain, age 93, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, at the DFW National Cemetery with Earl Gregory officiating. A memorial service held at the New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church will be held at a later date. Mrs. McClain passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023, in her home.

Joyce “Bonnie” McClain

Joyce was born to Norman Eugene and Gordon Marie (Ensley) Blasingame on July 9, 1930, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She married Clyde Ray McClain in 1957 at the East Grand Baptist Church in Dallas. She worked as the office manager for Ford Motor Credit Union as well as T.I. Credit Union. She retired from Collins Credit Union where she was the Vice President of Personnel.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy Gregory and husband, Earl; son, Step Son Clyde Dale Foxell; grandchildren, Sheila Guzman and husband Steve, Sydney Hunter, Andy Hunter, Earl Gregory Jr., and wife, Kristie, Jeremy Bryant and wife, Amber, Leah Powell, and husband, Demarcus, Gina Roach and husband, Josh Edwards, Bekah Gregory, Joel Gregory; great-grandchildren, Amber Lennon, Danielle Gregory, Mackenzye Gregory, Skyler Gregory, Kyleigh Bryant, Meghan Bryant, Leslie Byrant, Jacoby Gregory, Tristyn Gregory, Keegan Gregory, Ethan Roach, Brianna Duffey, Samantha Gowin, Stephanie Gowin, Sophia Gowin, Byrnn Edwards, Eli Edwards, Gabriel Howard, Edwin Edwards, Emery Gregory; great-great-grandchildren, Brilee Lennon, Ireland Lennon, Sawyer Hunter, Jensen Grant, Kasen Grant, and Carlton Simmons-Carroll.

Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Gordon Blasingame; her husband, Clyde McClain; her first husband, Charles Hunter; brothers, Norman Blasingame, and Hess Blasingame; sister, Margie Fite; and son, Chuck Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations to the Fruitful Harvest Ministries at 409 W. California St. of Sulphur Springs, Texas, be made.
