Funeral services for Mary Lou (Foster) Plunkett, age 69, of Cumby, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with Blake Spinks, Michael Taylor, Norris Foster, Gaylon Foster, Randy Almon, A.J. Clinton serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2021, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mary passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was born on April 26, 1952, in Mount Vernon, Texas, the daughter of Ballard Lee and Martha Jo Hale Foster. She married Robby Lynn Plunkett on May 12, 1972, in Cumby, Texas.
She worked in the loan department of Sulphur Springs State Bank, later known as Alliance Bank, for many years. She was also of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by husband, Robby Plunkett of Cumby; daughters, Carrie Elizabeth Shields of Sulphur Springs, Ami Taylor and husband Michael of Arlington, Melissa Lee Spinks and husband Blake of Commerce; brothers, Ronnie Foster and wife Kathy of Lewisville, AR, James Foster and wife Corliss of Yantis; and numerous grandchildren, extended family, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Michael Lee Foster.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
