Funeral services for Randell Allen Long, age 73, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Trinity Harvest Church of God with Pastor Ryan Hankins and Pastor Larry Traylor officiating. Interment will follow at Gafford Chapel Cemetery with Skylar Long, Tanner Childers, Dakota Pickett, Matthew Chenault, Quentin Long, and Peytin Long serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m., prior to service time.
Randell passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, at his residence. He was born on July 16, 1948, in Sulphur Springs, the son of R.A. Long and Delynn Yarbrough Long. Randell served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked as a dairyman, mechanic, and truck driver. He married Dottie Singleton on February 16, 1968, in Sulphur Springs.
Randell is survived by wife, Dottie Long; sons, Stewart Long and wife Tammy, and Ronnie Long and wife Marion, all of Sulphur Springs; sister, Sharon Shaw of Coppell; grandchildren, Quentin Long and wife Jessica, Skylar Long, Peytin Long, Cassie Chenault and husband Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Esabella Chenault, Ambriana Long, and Christian Long. He was preceded in death by his parents.
