A memorial service for LaTrecia (Red) Clayton, age 39, will be held at on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at St. Luke Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs at 11 a.m. with Rev. Vernon Clayton officiating. Mrs. Clayton passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
She was born the daughter of Ricky Mickens and Wanda Curlee Mickens Harris in Paris, Texas, on May 28, 1982. She worked as a restaurant manager for IHop. She was married to Paul Clayton (son of Paul Lynn Clayton and Camille Lane) in Tyler, Texas, on March 3, 2001. Mrs. Clayton attended St. Luke Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Clayton; children, Aaliyah Clayton, Malachi Clayton and Samara Clayton; parents, Ricky and Wanda Mickens; sisters, Christy Gandy and husband, Frederick and Stacy Mickens; brothers, Cedric Mickens and Kevin Mickens; in-laws, Paul Lynn Clayton and Camille Lane; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
