Funeral service for Bobby George, age 76, of Brinker, TX, will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rusty Posey officiating.
Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery with Kevin Beck, Chase Beck, Chad Beck, Johnny Walker, Nick Atkinson, Matthew Atkinson and Steve Harris serving as pallbearers.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Harold Ball, Charles Ball, Sonny Kell, Herman Ball, Larry Brown, Cecil Moore and the “Red Barn Breakfast Crew”.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. George passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at his residence.
Bobby was born on August 22, 1944 in Sulphur Springs to Johnsie and Nezzie Westbrook George. He married Wyoma Hatley on May 19, 1972 in Sulphur Springs. Bobby worked for AP Green and retired from Hopkins County Precinct 3. He was a member of the Brinker Volunteer Fire Department. Bobby was a member of Hope Family Fellowship – Sulphur Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Wyoma; children, Judith Beck and husband, Kevin, Truelene Roberts and husband, Jason, Norval George and wife, Shelby, Landon George, Tissha Harris and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Chad Beck, Chase Beck, Cheslee Roberts, Nick Atkinson, Emily Atkinson, Matthew Atkinson, Addison George; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Rosa Lewis and Flora Hicks.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janie George, Linda George and Shirley Fouse; brothers, Bobby Lou George and Billy George.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murry-Orwosky Funeral Home.
