Sulphur Springs’ sports fan Tory Humphries passes along some news concerning the Sam Houston State Bearcats’ football team.
Humphries son, Ryan, plays for the Bearcats.
He says the Bearcats just finished their football season with a 6-0 record and they are the champions of the Southland Conference.
The Bearcats enter the NCAA FCS Division I Playoffs as the #2 seed nationally.
Sam Houston opens the playoffs Saturday (April 24) at home against Monmouth University (New Jersey). The FCS Division I National Championship game will take place in Frisco on May 16.
