Bennie Potter

Funeral service for Bennie Potter, age 83, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bro. John Gandy officiating. Interment will follow at Shooks Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 6 to 8 PM at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Potter passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Sulphur Springs.

Bennie was born on September 25, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Herman and Vera (Styles) Potter. He married Barbara Lindley on December 13, 1956 in Choctaw, OK. Bennie owned a Vending/Arcade Machine business and was an appliance salesman. He was a deacon of Immanuel Baptist Church. He occasionally hosted on KSST Radio.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Potter; son, Lewis Potter; grandchildren, Shawn Potter, Jamie Potter, Jeremy Potter, Cody Potter, Carolyn Lane, Christa Elmore and Bennie Potter; eleven great grandchildren.

Bennie was preceded in death by his parents; twin daughters, Carolyn and Debbie Potter; son, Thurman Potter; sister, Louise Ball.
