Wildcats Soccer Team Pours in the Goals in 8-2 Win Over Texas High Thursday

The Wildcats Soccer Team scored 5 unanswered first half goals and then cruised to an 8-2 district win over Texas High Thursday night (March 4) at Gerald Prim Stadium.

Omar Hernandez had a hat trick scoring three of the Wildcats first four goals. David Moreno also had an early goal for the Wildcats. Garrett Robinson’s goal was the fifth and last one for the first half.

In the second half, Alex Yanez, Jorge Santacruz and Uriel Santacruz scored goals for the Wildcats. The Tigers goals were scored by Austin Miller, one on a penalty kick after a Wildcats’ foul in the box.

The win improves the Wildcats’ district record to 4-5. Their season record is now 13-9-1. The Wildcats play next at Marshall on Saturday. The JV game is at 9 A.M. with the Varsity game to follow at 11 A.M.
