Sandra Kay Scherer

Graveside services for Sandra Kay Scherer, age 58, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2020 at Reilly Springs Cemetery. Sandra passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Sulphur Springs.

She was born on September 28, 1962 in Hugo, OK, the daughter of Dempsey and Jimmie Langley Simpson. She married Richard Scherer on September 30, 1987 in Reno, NV. Together they owned and operated Red Barn Café. Sandra is survived by husband, Rick, daughters, Ricki Shurtleff and Katrina Stageberg both of Sulphur Springs, brothers, Marty Simpson and Hal Simpson both of Oregon, Lynn Simpson of Sulphur Springs, sister, Karon Paul of Oregon, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her hundreds of
patrons she had the pleasure of serving from Red Barn Café.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Reilly Springs Cemetery Association, c/o Kerry Bailey, 1608 County Road 2436, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482 or a charity of your choice.
