Pageant organizer Karon Weatherman announced the cancellation of the 2020 Ms. Hopkins County Senior Classic Pageant, which had been moved to August 2020. Here is the announcement which Karon sent out.
I hate to but I am going to have to Cancel the 2020 Ms Hopkins County Pageant this year. I had already moved it from June to August, due to COVID-19 precautions. The Ms Texas Senior Classic Pageant had already been cancelled for 2020, so our winner would not have any where to advance this year, anyway. I feel badly for the ladies who look forward to the Pageant every year. I know this is a let down, but I think to keep everyone safe, we need to just cancel it and try again in June of 2021.
Vender Wright will just have to serve as QUEEN for another year! We love and appreciate her so much. Vender has been a wonderful representative for Hopkins County since she was crowned in June 2019.
