Private graveside service for Don McDonald, age 83, of Sulphur Springs, will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell with Bro. Al Davis officiating. Mr. McDonald passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.
Don McDonald was born July 29, 1936 in Cooper, Texas to Ernest McDonald and Mattie (Helm) McDonald. He married Martha Luman in Dallas, Texas on September 22, 1972. He was Supervisor of the water department for the city of Dallas for 35 years and was a member of Faith Fellowship Ministries.
Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Martha McDonald; sons, Gary Don McDonald and wife, Caryn, of Michigan, Jeff Herndon of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Sheila Offer and husband, Paul, of Dallas, Karen Russell and husband, Robert, of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Abby McDonald, Priscilla Pardun, Lacie Pardun, Ed Pardun, Jr., Jennifer Meador, Bucky Walters, Matt Walters and wife, Fallon; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Chloe, Payton, Jacob, Clay, Riley, Hunter, Dillon, Preslea, Lyla, and Addi.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Herschel McDonald; and sisters, Helen Akard and Francis McDonald.
