The Sulphur Springs High School Annual National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Approximately 51 students will be inducted this year into the Gladys Alexander National Honor Society chapter. Students are chosen based on scholarship, service, leadership and character.
All NHS members students are encouraged to participate in community service and extracurricular activities in order to be competitive in the college realm.
They participate in several activities throughout the year, in the past have promoted literacy by collecting and distributing Little Golden Books for the hospital maternity ward as well as reading to elementary and Early Childhood Learning Center students. Members also have helped with our Veterans’ Day program and graduation.
The community is invited to attend to show support for these students accomplishments.
