District Golf Tournament Begins for Wildcats and Lady Cats in Paris Monday
The Wildcats and Lady Cats’ golf teams open two-day district tournament competition Monday (April 1) at Paris Country Club. Coach Chris Owens’ Wildcats expect to battle Texas High for the district championship. Top two teams qualify for regional play. The Lady Cats of Coach Whitney Spigener have three golfers entered so they won’t compete as a team. Sophomore Mariam Tran is expected to take on a Texas High golfer for top individual medalist. Tran is expected to have a good shot at qualifying for the regional tournament.
