January 30th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 12:08 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 779 near Alba; at approximately 3:48 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Clear Water Trail near Hawkins, at approximately 7:42 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the homeowner and everything was OK.

At 8:11 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1953 near Yantis.

At 10:08 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.

At 10:40 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 1:28 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 2:38 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2504 near Mineola, at approximately 4:49 p.m., in reference to harassment. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 7:32 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Mineola, at approximately 7:41 p.m., in reference to burglary of a vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

January 31st

At 6:43 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 312 near Hawkins.

At 7:24 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 1801 near Mineola.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 154 near Yantis; at approximately 8:22 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 17 near Yantis; at approximately 9:10 a.m. Gary Gibson, 43, of Yantis, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:11 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from two storage units. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 10:45 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Quitman.

At 2:50 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:03 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass on CR 2651 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6963 near Alba, at approximately 7:22 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 1541 near Alba; at approximately 8:54 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 5293 near Yantis, at approximately 8:57 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and cleared the incident.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 11:17 p.m. Patrick Monnat, 32, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

February 1st

Deputies were dispatched to FM 312 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:36 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3940 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:10 a.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1660 near Alba; at approximately 10:09 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

At 11:53 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4165 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3940 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:10 a.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1660 near Alba; at approximately 10:09 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

At 11:53 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4165 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:43 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat on PR 7967 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2330 near Mineola, at approximately 4:45 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual but medical treatment was declined.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:50 p.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse on CR 2433 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 11:34 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4141 near Quitman.

February 2nd

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 69 near Alba; at approximately 6:10 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4740 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:50 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1917 near Yantis, at approximately 9:38 a.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole cattle from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1477 near Yantis, at approximately 10:08 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:08 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 2320 near Mineola. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 3:32 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 4:19 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1843 near Yantis, at approximately 8:01 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke to all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 8:30 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:52 p.m. Brad Beegle, 32, of Hawkins, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2700 near Mineola; at approximately 11:40 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 11:46 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 69 near Mineola.

February 3rd

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 1:29 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies spoke with the owner of the residence and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 6:43 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 11:16 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1522 near Alba; at approximately 11:17 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3811 near Hawkins; at approximately 11:33 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Glazner St. in Hawkins; at approxiatmely 12:22 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

At 2:18 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2130 near Quitman, at approximately 9:20 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4730 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:59 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 80 near Hawkins; at approximately 10:46 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 10:53 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

February 4th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2360 near Mineola, at approximately 12:35 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 1:25 a.m. Geoffrey Burman, 41, of Mineola, was arrested for Failure to identify.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4430 near Winnsboro; at approximately 1:27 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:05 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 1112 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:43 p.m., in reference to fraud that occurred on CR 4918 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1995 near Yantis, at approximately 1:38 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 4:33 p.m., horses were reported out on CR 4860 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1416 near Quitman, at approximately 6:01 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:47 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8692 near Winnsboro, at approximately 10:02 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and cleared the incident.

February 5th

At 11:33 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3226 near Quitman.

At 12:03 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4450 near Winnsboro; at approximately 3:25 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2330 near Mineola, at approximately 4:27 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 5:00 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 5:18 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Michael Wallace, 48, of Dallas, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family/Household Member by Impeding Breathing/Air Circulation with Previous Conviction.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2935 near Alba, at approximately 6:30 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 8:02 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 37 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:27 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 11:22 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke to all parties involved and everything was OK.

Between the dates of January 30 and February 5, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Emergency Medical Services and Mineola Police Department.

Between the dates of January 30 and February 5, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 3 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals and filed 2 cases with the District Attorney.

Total Jail Count – 127 inmates – 103 males and 24 females.
