November 28th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Quitman, at approximately 12:18 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1895 near Yantis, at approximately 10:35 a.m., in reference to theft. A known actor did not pay the reporting party for the vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 12:35 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:37 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat on CR 2432 near Mineola.Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

At 1:31 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 2:43 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:40 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief on CR 3450 near Hawkins. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3230 near Quitman, at approximately 7:54 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1858 near Yantis, at approximately 8:40 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any loud music.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2298 near Mineola; at approximately 9:05 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 9:44 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A known actor took the reporting party’s vehicle without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Main St. in Yantis; at approximately 10:28 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and it was towed by Wyatt’s Towing.

November 29th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 1:10 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1585 near Alba, at approximately 8:21 a.m., in reference to theft. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 9:32 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 3265 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2150 near Quitman, at approximately 2:56 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 3:39 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Tabitha Crow, 27, of Mineola, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 514 near Yantis, at approximately 4:04 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined it was a civil matter.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:15 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat on FM 2225 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 5:44 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2934 near Alba, at approximately 7:40 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 9:04 p.m. Deputies provided a courtesy transport and cleared the area.

November 30th

Deputies were dispatched to Orchard St. in Alba, at approximately 6:14 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day and the incident was cleared.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:51 a.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 2745 near Mineola.Deputies determined no scam had occurred and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Choctaw near Quitman, at approximately 11:19 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:43 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief on CR 1540 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2754 near Mineola, at approximately 5:25 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown,broke into the reporting party’s residence and stole several items. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 5:49 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Como.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1600 near Alba, at approximately 7:01 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Angela Barnhart, 44, of Alba, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury of Family/Household Member Impede Breathing/Circulation.

December 1st

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2696 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:17 a.m., in reference to a fire. Deputies searched the area,but were unable to locate any signs of a fire.

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 12:30 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Green BriarTrail near Hawkins; at approximately 1:15 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 1254 near Mineola, at approximately 2:03 a.m. Andrew Moore, 36, of Mineola, was arrested for No Drivers License.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1522 near Alba, at approximately 7:28 a.m., in reference to harassment. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 312 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:01 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3990 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:58 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated,prior to the deputies’ arrival.

At 11:52 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 2495 near Mineola.

At 1:04 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1995 near Yantis, at approximately 1:41 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:15 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

At 2:56 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.

At 3:14 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1660 near Alba, at approximately 5:33 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2195 near Mineola;at approximately 5:44 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4990 near Winnsboro, at approximately 5:50 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown,stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1985 near Yantis, at approximately 8:10 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown,damaged and stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 9:20 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.

December 2nd

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 12:19 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and issued a citation.

At 9:07 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Alba, at approximately 10:27 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4990 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:32 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:10 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 3:21 p.m., cows were reported out on Fm 2088 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3588 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:12 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Mineola, at approximately 5:47 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1695 near Alba, at approximately 7:33 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Dustin Burge, 22, of Mineola, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

December 3rd

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 69 near Alba; at approximately 3:40 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 7:24 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Winnsboro.

At 8:10 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 2:03 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on West Oak St.in Yantis; at approximately 2:18 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and issued a citation.

Deputies were dispatched to Wild Pine Lane near Hawkins, at approximately 3:07 p.m., in reference to an incident. Lindsay Arnett, 31, of Hawkins, was arrested for Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence.

Deputies were dispatched to SPUR 514 near Yantis, at approximately 4:14 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:42 p.m., in reference to theft of prescription drugs. Stephen Zarcone, 26, of Tyler, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 3, Less Than 28 Grams.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2325 near Mineola, at approximately 6>26 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and the individual was transported home by a friend/family member.

At 6:38 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 17 near Alba.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 312 near Winnsboro; at approximately 9:14 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4470 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:36 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

December 4th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Mineola, at approximately 12:04 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 8:37 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:56 a.m., in reference to a burglary on FM 69 near Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 3204 near Quitman; at approximately 1:09 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Quitman, at approximately 3:31 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Franklin Waddell, 64, of Quitman, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:01 p.m., in reference to a disturbance on CR 4420 near Winnsboro. Deputies advised the reporting party that it was a civil matter.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 7:27 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident. 

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1975 near Yantis, at approximately 9:03 p.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1950 near Yantis, at approximately 10:01 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3541 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:08 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2276 near Mineola; at approximately 10:25 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Between the dates of November 28 and December 4, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Adult Protective Services, Rains County, Quitman Hospital and Emergency Medical Services.

Between the dates of November 28 and December 4, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 1 arrest warrant and arrested the individual and filed 1 case with the District Attorney.

Total Jail Count –110 inmates – 87 males and 23 females.
