November 13th
Deputies were dispatched to PR 5937 near Yantis, at approximately 3:25 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 5:57 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2503 near Mineola, at approximately 7:39 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
At 9:10 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 1801 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:22 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to the Wood County Court House in Quitman, at approximately 9:59 a.m., in reference to an individual evading detention. Kevin Wood, 31, of Grand Saline, was arrested for Evading Arrest/Detention and outstanding warrants.
At 10:31 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 49 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2382 near Mineola, at approximately 11:52 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
At 1:39 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Yantis.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:56 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on HWY 37 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 6:13 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
November 14th
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 2225 near Quitman; at approximately 12:05 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 5174 near Quitman, at approximately 8:21 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2298 near Mineola; at approximately 10:02 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2260 near Mineola; at approximately 10:27 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1558 near Alba, at approximately 10:27 a.m., in reference to theft. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and determined this incident to be a civil matter.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 10:50 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:37 a.m., in reference to fraud that occurred on CR 2275 near Mineola.Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 12:14 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3980 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:23 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:45 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on Cactus Cove near Hawkins.Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Alba, at approximately 2:11 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1540 near Alba, at approximately 3:40 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 80 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:14 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
November 15th
Deputies were dispatched to Higginbotham St. in Alba, at approximately 5:13 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:50 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the owner of the building and determined it was an accident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2088 near Quitman; at approximately 7:03 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 5899 near Yantis, at approximately 9:05 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided and the scene was cleared.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:03 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver on CR 3250 near Quitman. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2150 near Quitman, at approximately 12:31 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:01 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 2225 near Quitman; at approximately 2:08 p.m. Brandon Nichols, 29, of Quitman, was arrested for outstanding warrants, two counts of Assault of a Public Servant and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:10 p.m., in reference to fraud that occurred on FM 2659 near Hawkins.Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 3:54 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Yantis.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1944 near Yantis, at approximately 5:29 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
At 5:51 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1570 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1700 near Yantis, at approximately 5:57 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3812 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:02 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:05 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the owner of the building and it was OK.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3120 near Quitman; at approximately 11:07 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 11:39 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 11:56 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 11 near Winnsboro.
November 16th
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:03 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass that occurred on CR 4430 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
At 11:07 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3420 near Hawkins.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:29 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown,stole a four-wheeler from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 6963 near Alba, at approximately 1:03 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies were unable to make contact with the actor to issue the Criminal Trespass Warning.
At 1:15 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4988 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:18 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 4:42 p.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor broke into the reporting party’s storage unit and stole all items. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 5:30 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.
At 7:29 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1570 near Alba.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 9:08 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and the incident was cleared.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2659 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:18 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to Johnson Lane in Yantis, at approximately 11:42 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies determined no trespass occurred, but the reporting party, Julie Mullins, 35, ofYantis, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
November 17th
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 3859 near Mineola; at approximately 1:48 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
At 9:15 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3550 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:57 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3859 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:35 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4636 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:07 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s mailbox. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to Lake Hawkins, at approximately 1:33 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4330 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:20 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies issued two Criminal Trespass Warnings and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4330 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:08 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2165 near Quitman, at approximately 9:53 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
November 18th
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1560 near Alba, at approximately 12:23 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:35 a.m., in reference to a traffic hazard. Anderson Ponce, 20,of Como, was arrested for Public Intoxication.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:47 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
At 9:17 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 10:00 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
Deputies were dispatched to Sells St. in Yantis, at approximately 10:26 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1112 near Quitman, at approximately 12:46 p.m., in reference to an assault. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
At 5:31 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to Sells St. in Yantis, at approximately 6:58 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties and determined no offense occurred.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:53 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on HWY 80 near Hawkins. Actors, or actors unknown, took the vehicle without consent. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
November 19th
At 3:55 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 7:58 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
At 8:57 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Hawkins.
Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 9:22 a.m. Landon Bright, 24, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:46 a.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse on Bent Bow Lane near Hawkins. Actors, or actors unknown, used the reporting party’s credit/debit card without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:02 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on Main St. in Yantis. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:02 p.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse on CR 1580 near Alba.Actors, or actors unknown, used the reporting party’s gas card without authorization.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 4:01 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:22 p.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Choctaw near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3854 near Hawkins, at approximately 4:24 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
Deputies responded to a suspicious person on PR 6923 nearAlba; at approximately 6:22 p.m. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
At 9:31 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 1254 near Mineola.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 1563 nearAlba; at approximately 10:50 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and the incident was cleared.
November 20th
Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Mineola, at approximately 12:16 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
At 12:51 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2869 near Winnsboro.
Deputies were dispatched to Petty St. in Hawkins, at approximately 1:30 a.m., in reference to an assault. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined no assault had occurred.
Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:15a.m., in reference to fraud that occurred on CR 1590 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
Deputies were dispatched to PR 8585 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:20 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4420 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:54 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1993 near Yantis, at approximately 3:42 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individual with the firearm and everything was OK.
At 5:27 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Quitman.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 6:45 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
At 7:21 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2317 near Mineola.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:04 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies advised the individual to lower the volume of the music and the scene was cleared.
Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 10:04 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Casey Cadenhead, 30, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury of Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 2230 near Mineola, at approximately 10:30 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 89, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 3870 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:50 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.
Deputies were dispatched to CR 1858 near Yantis, at approximately 11:19 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
Between the dates of November 13 and November 20, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Child Protective Service, Police Departments, Emergency Medical Services and Alba Fire Department.
Between the dates of November 13 and November 20, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 3 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals and recovered $4,000 worth of stolen property.
Total Jail Count –114 inmates – 88 males and 26 females.
