October 3rd

At 12:48 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 182 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4660 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:14 a.m., in reference to harassment. This case is active.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 312 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:40 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, broke into the reporting party’s residence and damaged the property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Rising Star near Quitman; at approximately 9:39 a.m. Roy Shelton, 70, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

At 10:37 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4560 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to Green Briar near Hawkins, at approximately 10:54 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8692 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:35 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the owner and determined it was an accident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:24 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on HWY 154 near Quitman. Actors, actors unknown, stole the license plates from the reporting party’s boat.

Deputies were dispatched to Elmwood Path near Hawkins, at approximately 3:00 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 5:12 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3987 near Winnsboro, at approximately 5:15 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 7:06 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on PR 7495 near Hawkins. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1681 near Alba, at approximately 8:22 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 8:32 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

October 4th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:31 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Algernon Lee, 21, of Converse, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3840 near Hawkins, at approximately 4:31 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

At 8:14 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 2360 near Mineola.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1246 near Quitman; at approximately 9:57 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2320 near Mineola, at approximately 10:30 a.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Oak St. in Yantis, at approximately 3:04 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 52, was found deceased in her residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and an autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3147 near Quitman, at approximately 6:12 p.m., in reference to an assault. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined an assault did not occur.

At 8:00 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2966 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2169 near Quitman, at approximately 8:10 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 8:18 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 49 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1658 near Alba, at approximately 10:21 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2790 near Mineola, at approximately 10:55 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the owner and determined it was an accident.

October 5th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 2:24 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1560 near Alba, at approximately 9:24 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and the incident was cleared.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:28 a.m., in reference to stalking. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Holiday Village condo’s, at approximately 12:50 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole license plates from the reporting party’s boat.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3859 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:57 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3427 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:16 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to College St. in Alba, at approximately 4:55 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 515 near Yantis; at approximately 5:00 p.m. The vehicle was towed by Wyatt’s Towing.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1885 near Yantis, at approximately 5:30 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s boat. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:23 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4930 near Quitman, at approximately 8:23 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the area.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1970 near Yantis, at approximately 9:22 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4890 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:50 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Raymer St. in Hawkins, at approximately 9:58 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4893 near Winnsboro, at approximately 10:05 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

October 6th

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 69 near Quitman; at approximately 12:36 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any individuals.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Mineola, at approximately 1:37 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 2:03 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 2:16 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 2:55 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2195 near Quitman, at approximately 5:13 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the actor. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2142 near Quitman; at approximately 9:12 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 37 near Winnsboro; at approximately 9:53 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

October 7th

Deputies were dispatched to Beaulah St. in Hawkins, at approximately 12:59 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 17 near Alba; at approximately 1:21 a.m. Marilyn McLain, 46, of Alba, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in Yantis, at approximately 2:19 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

At 10:29 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:13 a.m., in reference to a scam. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 11:24 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the individuals and advised them to lower the volume of the music.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1917 near Yantis, at approximately 12:59 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 2:44 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 779 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 3:06 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 86, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1681 near Alba, at approximately 4:34 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2425 near Mineola, at approximately 6:14 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 7:56 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3950 near Hawkins.

October 8th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 1:27 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individual and determined no criminal trespass occurred.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2164 near Quitman, at approximately 2:24 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:25 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on HWY 80 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 5:06 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3250 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:08 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Lakeitreia Hart, 18, of Dallas was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Valyncia Mallory, 19, of Dallas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Naudia Dyer, 19, of Dallas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Clemdrea Maxie, 19, of Hawkins, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Zakeeya Young, 21, of Dallas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Shantercia Hood, 19, of Mesquite, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Zakoria Robinson, 18, of Lancaster, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Uniqua Spearman, 18, of Dallas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7402 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:19 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:03 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. D’von Duru, 20, of Dallas, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. T’mya Harris, 18, of Fort Worth, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Eryana Wade, 18, of Fort Worth, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

At 9:44 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3114 near Quitman, at approximately 11:04 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

October 9th

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2380 near Mineola; at approximately 12:39 a.m. Charles Elliott, Jr., 38, of Alba, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4150 near Quitman; at approximately 1:28 a.m. Paulette Henderson, 43, of Quitman, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4529 near Winnsboro; at approximately 2:45 a.m. Jonathan McGee, 36, of Winnsboro, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 779 near Alba; at approximately 7:12 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 7:51 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7402 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:59 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:30 a.m., in reference to identity theft that occurred on CR 1558 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2951 near Alba, at approximately 11:59 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 12:14 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2351 near Mineola.

At 1:34 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Yantis.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:38 p.m., in reference to fraud that occurred on PR 5991 near Yantis. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 4:35 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1406 near Quitman.

At 5:15 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1410 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4919 near Quitman, at approximately 5:13 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to HWY 154 near Yantis; at approximately 8:26 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4490 near Winnsboro; at approximately 9:04 p.m. Alex Walls, 24, of Winnsboro, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

At 9:16 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1840 near Yantis.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2298 near Mineola; at approximately 11:13 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Between the dates of September 26 and October 2, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Child Protective Services, Emergency Medical Services, Police Departments, Smith County, Department of Public Safety, Constables, Franklin County, Game Wardens, Upshur County and Camp County.

Between the dates of September 26 and October 2, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 5 cases with the district attorney, obtained 1 arrest warrant and arrested the individual, and recovered $5,000 worth of stolen property.

Total Jail Count –121 inmates – 91 males and 30 females.
