The Lady Cats’ volleyball team had a good first day at the Hardman/Watson Invitational Volleyball Tournament in Wills Point Friday winning all three of their pool games. The Lady Cats opened with a 2-0 win over Quinlan, 25-17, 25-13. The Lady Cats then topped Princeton, 25-13, 25-10. In an evening match, the Lady Cats rallied for a 2-1 win over North Forney. The Lady Falcons won set one, 25-20 but the Lady Cats evened the match with a 25-21 set two win. The Lady Cats then took the match with a tense 26-24 win in set three. The Lady Cats improved their season record to 10-3.
The Lady Cats now play in the championship bracket on Saturday. They play host Wills Point at 11 a.m.
