Funeral services for Kenneth Neal “Butch” Barker, age 64, formerly of Irving, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Yvonne King officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mr. Barker passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his home in Cumby, TX
Butch was born on August 18, 1953 in Clarksville Texas, to Billy Neal Barker and Cornelia Ragsdill. He married Brenda Richardson in Dallas Texas, on January 30, 1987. Butch was a Telephone Technician for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for over 40 years. He was a member of the Pioneers and Communication Workers of America.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; son, Neal Barker and wife, Shannon of Sulphur Springs; step-daughters, Dawn Loos and husband, Ron of Roanoke, Terron Russell of Irving; grandchildren, William Neal Barker, Charlotte Barker, Mac Barker, Kyndle Procell, Shawn Brown, Chris Brown; great grandchildren, Kambree Procell, Brantlee Procell, Connor Brown, Aiden Brown; brothers, Mickey Barker and wife, Susie, Jimmy Dickey and wife, Pam; numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
