June 27th

At 2:33 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7991 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:45 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 79, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and ordered an autopsy. This case was forwarded to other agency.

At 8:59 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1560 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2954 near Alba, at approximately 12:20 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1306 near Quitman, at approximately 1:30 p.m., in reference to theft. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 4:03 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

At 5:02 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1643 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:04 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat. This case is active.

At 8:06 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.

At 8:19 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4760 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2540 near Mineola, at approximately 8:56 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Tabitha Crow, 27, of Mineola, was arrested for Assault.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3522 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:21 p.m., in reference to burglary. Deputies noticed there to be no signs of forced entry and nothing to be missing.

June 28th

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3494 near Hawkins; at approximately 12:31 a.m. James David, 42, of Hawkins, was arrested for outstanding warrants. Krista Burdge, 31, of Red Oak, was arrested for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution of Known Felon.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2771 near Mineola; at approximately 2:15 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 8:09 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3114 near Quitman, at approximately 5:44 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. This case is active.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 6:45 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s vehicle at their work place. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 9:01 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Mineola.

At 10:56 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2370 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2320 near Mineola, at approximately 11:24 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the driver of the vehicle and the damage done by the vehicle. The driver spoke with the owner of the damaged property and will be repairing the damage done with no charges.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 4495 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:28 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 11:33 p.m., in reference to assault. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

June 29th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 3:41 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 9:40 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3470 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:21 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:23 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Mineola, at approximately 12:55 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 17 near Alba, at approximately 2:16 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Jacob Davis, 20, of Mineola, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:00 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on Main St. in Yantis. Actors, or actors unknown, stole tools from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 5551 near Alba, at approximately 5:35 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6645 near Mineola, at approximately 8:29 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

At 9:01 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2952 near Alba.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 779 near Alba; at approximately 9:52 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6938 near Alba, at approximately 10:15 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6778 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:22 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:41 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat that occurred on PR 6429 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

June 30th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Hawkins, at approximately 4:05 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 7:16 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 1643 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 10:03 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:30 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on CR 2360 near Mineola. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to PR 6645 near Mineola; at approximately 9:33 p.m. Klinton Kenner, 24, of Nacogdoches, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman, at approximately 10:51 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Darrel Barnes, 35, of Palestine, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

July 1st

Deputies responded to a motorist assist on FM 14 near Hawkins; at approximately 1:46 a.m. Walter Hall, 24, of Hawkins, was arrested for Resisting Arrest/Search or Transport and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 154 near Winnsboro; at approximately 5:21 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3540 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:13 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the owner of the residence and everything was OK.

At 9:09 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 2952 near Alba.

At 9:31 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 2:54 p.m. Michael Shaddox, 47, of Longview, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

At 2:59 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

At 6:08 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:42 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 11:32 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 69 near Quitman.

July 2nd

At 12:11 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1416 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4890 near Quitman, at approximately 2:01 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle near Mineola Civic Center; at approximately 2:02 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 4:39 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 2944 near Alba.

At 6:57 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 69 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 14 near Quitman; at approximately 6:58 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the scene.

At 8:33 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

At 8:41 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3230 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to SPUR 514 near Yantis, at approximately 9:48 a.m., in reference to fraud. Actors, or actors unknown, bought a printer from the reporting party with counterfeit money. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Oak St. in Yantis, at approximately 10:52 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies arrived and noticed an open door on the building. They checked the building and nothing appeared to be missing.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:10 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief that occurred on CR 3947 near Hawkins. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Como, at approximately 12:13 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:29 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 4930 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6645 near Mineola, at approximately 12:44 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Upon deputies’ arrival, they did not observe any criminal mischief.

At 12:48 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3289 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to Comanche near Quitman, at approximately 2:03 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Como, at approximately 3:48 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 4:44 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

At 5:09 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:28 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass that occurred on CR 3420 near Hawkins. Deputies spoke with parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 7:01 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.

At 7:31 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:13 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

At 9:21 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:11 p.m., in reference to an assault. Upon deputies’ arrival, they observed no assault had occurred.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to PR 7839 near Hawkins; at approximately 11:16 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:36 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

July 3rd

At 2:48 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3130 near Quitman.

At 8:01 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1730 near Yantis.

At 9:12 a.m., cows were reported out on SPUR 514 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2275 near Mineola, at approximately 2:26 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Bermuda St. in Quitman; at approximately 3:13 p.m. Jason Phillips, 41, of Winnsboro, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:57 p.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on CR 3588 near Winnsboro. Deputies determined this incident to be a civil matter.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person at Lake Holbrook beach; at approximately 5:56 p.m. Dustin Reynolds, 29, of Canton, was arrested for Resisting Arrest/Search or Transport and Disorderly Conduct.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4450 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:49 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies arrived and noticed an open door on the building. They checked the building and nothing appeared to be missing.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6662 near Mineola, at approximately 7:03 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies spoke with the owner of the building and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1643 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:46 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Phillip Gaby, 22, of Emory, was arrested for Assault.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 9:17 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A female, 85, passed away in her residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:41 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint on CR 3455 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3540 near Hawkins; at approximately 11:25 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Between the dates of June 27 and July 3, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included Police Departments and Department of Public Safety.

Between the dates of June 27 and July 3, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 4 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals.

Total Jail Count – 129 inmates – 103 males and 26 females.
