Lady Cats Softball Coach David Carrillo said Monday (June 25) Lady Cats shortstop Kelsey Wallace has been selected to play in the prestigious Texas Girls Coaches Association’s All-Star Softball Game on July 11 in Arlington. Coach Carrillo said he has never had a player selected to play in this game before.
He said Wallace will be one of only 28 girls in Class 6A and Class 5A chosen to participate. Coach Carrillo said he learned the news last week. He said it is a great honor for his talented shortstop and he added she is excited about playing. Coach Carrillo said he will attend the game.
