Funeral services for Michael Ray Crain, age 68, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with B.J. Teer officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Tom Sellers, Jason Thompson, Ruth Ann Crowson, Keith Shurtleff, Alec Bridges, and John Campbell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the directors and employees of Alliance Bank. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mike passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
He was born on January 21, 1950 in Sulphur Springs, the son of Milford Ray and Louise Craft Crain. He worked as a loan officer for Alliance Bank for 48 years.
He is survived by son, Jared Crain of Sulphur Springs, daughter, Daysha Alcorn and husband David of Rockwall, mother, Louise Crain of Alba, grandchildren, Kai and Phoenix Alcorn, sister, Debbie Turley and husband Wes of Whitehouse, step-sisters, Sherie Kelly of New York, Jean Hill of Louisiana, lifelong friend and secretary of 32 years, Linda Gulley, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Milford Crain, son, Damon Crain, sister, Sandra Crain, and step-father, Andy Hill.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
