Chamber Connection May 3, 2018

A few weeks ago, the Chamber had to make the difficult decision to postpone the 29th Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament due to threats of severe weather.  After making that call, I walked around for several hours with that stubborn lump in my throat while just trying to hide my disappointment.  I didn’t want to cancel, I wanted everyone to play some golf and enjoy the day.  However, I knew we made the right decision because we could not guarantee the safety of the volunteers and the players.  Before too long, all my disappointment was gone… because Friday came!!!  We finally got to play the golf tournament in the most beautiful weather ever created!  It truly was a Chamber of Commerce day, and fun was had all day long.  The afternoon Saputo team won the trophy rights with first place low net, and City National Bank won first place low gross.  The Grapevine Firefighters team took home second place low net, and Guaranty Bank went home with second place low gross. Third place low net went to CnC Pro AV, and third place low gross went to Jones Carts.  We had such a wonderful day, and we are already making plans to go even bigger for next year’s 30th Anniversary!!!
