Game Day: Wildcat Baseball Senior Night

It’s a big Friday night (April 27) for the Wildcats’ baseball team. The Wildcats are hoping to end the night in a tie for first place in the district standings. The Wildcats play Hallsville at 7 p.m. at Wildcat Park. There will also be a JV game at 4 p.m.

In varsity competition, Hallsville comes into Friday night’s game in first place with a 9-2 record. The Wildcats are tied for second with Texas High as both have 8-3 district marks. Texas High is closing out district play Friday night against last place Pine Tree so they are expected to win. A Wildcats win Friday night could set up a three way tie for first. The Wildcats season record is 15-10. Ryan Humphries is expected to pitch for the Wildcats.

Friday night will also be Senior Night at Wildcat Park and the Wildcats will honor eight seniors.

We will bring you all of the action of Wildcats’ baseball on KSST Radio live from Wildcat Park beginning at 7 p.m. We will also videotape the game for replay at a later date on Channel 18 on Suddenlink Cable.  The broadcast will also feature frequent updates on action at nearby Lady Cat Park where the Lady Cats are playing Lovejoy.
