March 14th

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at the Lake Holbrook point; at approximately 1:21 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:39 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 10:18 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4860 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to Fm 17 near Yantis, at approximately 11:07 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged and stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke to the reporting party, at approximately 1:21 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 2700 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1830 near Yantis, at approximately 1:30 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 1:39 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Hawkins.

At 2:56 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

At 7:05 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2225 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2330 near Mineola, at approximately 8:12 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2150/CR 2163 near Quitman, at approximately 9:16 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.

At 9:42 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966/FM 17 near Yantis.

March 15th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 12:37 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4450 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:51 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2205 near Mineola, at approximately 11:25 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1423 near Quitman, at approximately 12:41 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies locate the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:47 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 1:44 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 2:15 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2100 near Quitman, at approximately 2:26 p.m., in reference to cruelty to livestock. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 5:19 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 5:26 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 5:40 p.m., in reference to a burglary. A known actor stole the reporting party’s vehicle and broke into the house. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 5:58 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with the reporting party and cleared the incident.

At 6:17 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1112 near Quitman.

At 6:30 p.m., cows were reported out on PR 7967 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4495 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:00 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 7:22 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on White Dove near Quitman; at approximately 9:33 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2100 near Quitman, at approximately 10:28 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

March 16th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1895 near Yantis, at approximately 1:26 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 1:44 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

At 2:05 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2724 near Mineola, at approximately 8:19 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 9:53 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1487 near Quitman.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:20 a.m., in reference to a theft that occurred on CR 1388 near Yantis. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a firearm from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on White Dove near Quitman; at approximately 11:24 a.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 11:28 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4255 near Winnsboro.

At 2:40 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4255 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 2:42 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 17 near the county line; at approximately 4:10 p.m. Shana Earle, 26, of Yantis, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to Fm 2869 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:48 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 5:55 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Indian Gap near Quitman, at approximately 6:08 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2260 near Mineola; at approximately 6:54 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Nuss Dr. in Mineola; at approximately 7:08 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1977 near Yantis, at approximately 7:36 p.m. Floyd Jones, 55, of Alba, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3470 near Hawkins; at approximately 7:40 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7477 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:15 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2244 near Mineola; at approximately 9:34 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4845 near Winnsboro, at approximately 10:13 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7477 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:30 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Fm 17 near Alba, at approximately 11:45 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.

March 17th

Deputies were dispatched to Fm 515 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:50 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2168 near Quitman, at approximately 1:24 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies located the parties involved and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:44 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 7:43 a.m., cows were reported out on Hwy 37 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to Oak St. in Yantis, at approximately 8:13 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 8:29 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 2351 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 2460 near Mineola; at approximately 8:42 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 9:09 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Quitman.

At 9:49 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 14/CR 3287 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Oak St. in Yantis, at approximately 9:59 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 10:14 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.

At 11:00 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.

At 2:03 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1112 near Quitman.

At 3:16 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 3056 near Mineola, at approximately 3:50 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to find the individuals.

At 3:53 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 69 near Winnsboro; at approximately 5:52 p.m. Christina Holt, 37, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 7:18 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2930 near Alba, at approximately 7:41 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies arrived and noticed the front door to be ajar. Nothing was missing from the residence and they secured the building.

Deputies responded to a reckless driver on HWY 154 near Yantis; at approximately 7:41 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:03 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred on FM 779 near Alba. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 10:11 p.m., cows were reported out on Hwy 80 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 10:39 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3147 near Quitman; at approximately 10:45 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on PR 7998 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:11 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 11:20 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 80 near Mineola.

March 18th

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Mineola, at approximately 12:02 a.m., in reference to a structural fire. Mineola Fire Department extinguished the fire.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3440 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:20 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1895 near Yantis, at approximately 10:21 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole gasoline out of the reporting party’s vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1602 near Alba, at approximately 2:22 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2128 near Quitman, at approximately 4:22 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

At 6:37 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 182 near Alba.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 69 near Alba; at approximately 6:55 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 8:04 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 8:43 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 9:01 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Randy Road in Quitman; at approximately 10:00 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

March 19th

At 1:18 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:15 a.m., in reference to an open door. Deputies secured the building and nothing was stolen.

Deputies were dispatched to Sioux near Quitman, at approximately 10:57 a.m. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2546 near Mineola, at approximately 11:01 a.m., in reference to a scam. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2230 near Mineola, at approximately 11:39 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s window on the residence.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 3:41 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:50 p.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on CR 1541 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 4:31 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 4761 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2700 near Mineola, at approximately 5:51 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3920 near Hawkins; at approximately 5:55 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 6:26 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a boat from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 6:39 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

At 7:22 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 10:19 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 11:46 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 154 near Yantis.

March 20th

At 12:05 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 2966 near Yantis.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 80 near Mineola; at approximately 3:54 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 9:00 a.m., horses were reported out on HWY 182 near Alba.

At 9:53 a.m., horses were reported out on HWY 182 near Alba.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Meadowview Path near Hawkins; at approximately 10:12 a.m. Chad Hoppe, 51, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

At 11:59 a.m., horses were reported out on CR 1630 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:29 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Micah Morgan, 36, of Winnsboro, was arrested for Criminal Trespass of Habitation/Shelter/Superfund Site/Infrastructure Facility.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 12:48 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 3:29 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 3600 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2265 near Mineola, at approximately 5:38 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and it was towed by Joe’s Wrecker.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4691 near Winnsboro; at approximately 5:38 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

At 5:43 p.m., cows were reported out on Hwy 154 near Quitman.

At 7:00 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to Sells St. in Yantis, at approximately 9:31 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Between the dates of March 14 and March 20, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included Police Departments and Child Protective Services.

Between the dates of March 14 and March 20, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 2 cases with the District Attorney, obtained 5 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals.

Total Jail Count –141 inmates – 20 males and 21 females.
