Wildcats Rout Seagoville 23-4 Saturday Afternoon

The Wildcats’ baseball team feasted on Seagoville pitching in a 23-4 rout at Seagoville Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats pounded out 16 hits. The game was called after five innings.

The Wildcats scored 9 runs in the top of the first inning and added 3 runs in the second, 6 more runs in the third and 5 additional runs in the fourth inning. Pacen Edwards was the brightest hitting star for the Wildcats driving in 5 runs going 3 for 4 with 4 runs scored and a walk. Kamren Harrison was 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 3 RBIs and a walk. Brady Crouse was 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Tyler Armstrong was 2 for 4 with an RBI and 3 runs scored. Connor Burgin was 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored and three walks. Jaxon Chaney had a double. Ryan Humphries and Jase Thompson both hit triples. Thompson also drove home 2 runs. Triston McCormick scored 3 runs.

McCormick got the pitching win allowing 4 runs and 5 hits over 5 innings.

The Wildcats improved their season record to 10-7. The Wildcats resume district play at Mount Pleasant Tuesday at 7 p.m.
