The weather proved to be the ultimate winner on this Tuesday soccer game day (February 6).
The scheduled Wildcats’ match at Marshall has been postponed due to weather concerns. Wildcats Soccer Coach Nicky Wiggins put out that news just before noon Tuesday. He said the game has been rescheduled as a varsity only game Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. in Marshall. The Wildcats will come into the district contest with an 0-1 record after their 3-0 loss at home to Pine Tree Friday night. The Mavericks are 1-0 in district play after a win over Texas High Friday.
Lady Cats Soccer Coach Joel Bailey also said the scheduled Lady Cats home match at Gerald Prim Stadium against Marshall has also been postponed due to weather concerns. That match has also been rescheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. in a varsity only game. The Lady Cats are 1-0 in district play after a 1-0 win at Pine Tree Friday. The Lady Mavs, 0-1 in district play, lost 10-0 at home last Friday to Texas High.
