Wildcats Soccer Coach Nicky Wiggins enjoyed his team’s win over Pittsburg Tuesday night (January 23) in the Wildcats first regular season game in the new Prim Stadium. The Wildcats won, 2-0.

Coach Wiggins said the first goal came on a successful penalty kick by Angel Tavera in the first half. The kick occurred because of an attempted sliding tackle by a Pittsburg player on Wildcat Omar Hernandez. In the second half, Julio Robles added a second Wildcat goal. Coach Wiggins said the Wildcats’ defense was very good. He also said the Wildcats missed a lot of opportunities to score more goals.

The Wildcats play next in their district opener against Pine Tree at The Prim on February 2. Coach Wiggins said his team would be working a lot on scoring when opportunities arise.

Lady Cats did not play Tuesday night (January 23) due to the flu affecting a number of players and Lady Cat Coach Eric Bailey.
