Winnsboro Police Report November 27-December 3, 2017

Winnsboro Police arrested two, investigated two accidents, responded to 142 calls for service, issued 37 citations, and wrote 34 warnings during the November 27-December 3, report period.

Justin Hunt, 29, of Winnsboro, was arrested November 28th for Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz.

Robert Cawthron, 39, of Winnsboro was arrested November 27th on a Franklin County warrant.

Winnsboro Police responded to a minor two vehicle accident November 27th in the 600 block of South Main. At a signal light the two south bound vehicles attempted to occupy the same lane when one vehicle attempted an unsafe turn. No injuries were reported. An accident the same day in the 200 block of East Coke resulted in unknown injures. Two vehicles were stopped at a signal light when, due to the inattention of one driver, the vehicle struck the other in the rear before entering the intersection.
